EDGE London Bridge required resilient carrier connectivity and smart building network infrastructure to support commissioning and future digital services. Located on St Thomas Street, the project involved complex stakeholder coordination due to its position on a major TfL Red Route and proximity to Guy’s Hospital, National Rail and The Shard. Thames Water also required access to the same area, creating an opportunity to streamline infrastructure delivery.
Zetta Connect coordinated carrier connections from Openreach, Colt and Virgin Media via the site’s meet-me chamber infrastructure, completed internal fibre links to the Main Equipment Room, and deployed a resilient HSRP router solution to support smart building operations.
Working collaboratively with Thames Water, we delivered both utility projects under a single road closure permit, reducing costs, minimising disruption and keeping the programme on schedule.
The works were completed within a single week, providing resilient carrier connectivity, automated network failover and the digital foundations required for future smart building services. By coordinating multiple utilities under one permit, Zetta helped minimise disruption while supporting the successful delivery of this landmark London development.
