International investment management firm Hamilton Lane were planning to move their offices to the Verde building in Victoria.
Unwilling to wait for a wayleave that could take many months they opted to physically move their entire network and IT equipment to their new offices.
As this was a rather unusual approach they contacted us to project manage the move and to ensure their comms were ready to go from Day 1.
Moving equipment carries a risk of accidental damage. So we employed a trusted team of specialist movers to transport all equipment to its new home.
We also undertook a complete re-design of their server layout, reducing the number of cabinets from three to two. Regular testing and calls to Hamilton Lane’s IT team in the U.S. ensured that everything worked smoothly. We also oversaw the pre-packing and disconnection of each desk at the old office.
