The landlord of The Dock (formerly Innovation Centre) wanted to undertake an extensive refurbishment programme that would transform their property from single to multi-tenant letting.
This threw up major challenges. We were faced with the task of rationalising and reinstating the landlord’s infrastructure to satisfy the many comms challenges of letting to multiple tenants.
In addition to the adaptations and upgrades required, the landlord was also very keen to achieve the prestigious WiredScore Gold Certification.
Our initial building survey identified opportunities for significant cost and waste savings by retaining much of their existing comms infrastructure.
The structured cabling and comms room A/C units throughout the property were of extremely high quality and condition. This meant they were ideally suited to be reused after being recommissioned.
We relocated and recommissioned building management equipment across the property. Then we installed two new fibre carriers, a fibre backbone, a centralised landlord network and guest Wi-Fi. Today the building boasts future-proof landlord fibre and network infrastructure.
