As an Associate Consultant, my role involves managing fibre, consultancy, and civils projects for a diverse range of clients, overseeing every aspect from inception to completion.

What do you enjoy most about your job/role?

The aspect I enjoy most is the opportunity to meet a wide range of people from various walks of life, which enriches my professional experience and personal growth.

If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

I’d switch with Robin Taylor. The nature of his work and his exceptional problem-solving skills intrigue me. He deals with niche challenges with utmost precision and incredible attention to detail, something I admire greatly.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

Off the clock, I immerse myself in the world of fiction and unwind by playing video games—a perfect balance to my busy work days.

“Surprise, surprise! I didn’t know that!” – the all-too-common tech advice.

Robin was spurred into action when he recognised two things: tenants struggle to access great connectivity, while landlords wrestle to provide 21st century comms. To solve that circular problem he founded Zetta Connect in 2017.

Armed with an extraordinary understanding of technology and a wealth of commercial property experience, Robin is a natural leader, quick to inspire his team to solve any comms challenge.

Robin lives in London with his wife, two children and their fine hound, Relish. When he isn’t site hopping, he’ll be found galloping in the countryside with his daughter or tinkering in the kitchen.

After graduating from the University of Singapore, Eric served as a Commission Officer in the Singapore Armour Brigade. As a Chartered Management Accountant, he has gained diverse experience across various industries in the UK, leveraging his army discipline to deliver fast, efficient, and straightforward solutions to any challenge. Eric joined Zetta Connect in 2019.

Outside of work, he stays active with weekly badminton and tennis matches, maintaining his military fitness year-round.

I handle everything finance-related within the company, ensuring all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What do you enjoy most about your job/role?

I thrive on the all-encompassing financial interactions that my role demands, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and analysis. It’s the variety that keeps every day interesting.

If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

I would swap roles with the Operations Director. The appeal lies in the all-around involvement in the business, which not only offers a broader scope of the company’s operations but also includes extensive interaction with both staff and third parties.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

When I’m not crunching numbers, I stay engaged with a variety of everyday activities. Whether it’s whipping up a meal, playing a match of tennis, staying updated with current affairs, or spending quality time with my family, I keep myself fully immersed and occupied.

Starting my career in finance, I quickly discovered my chatty nature was better suited outside the financial quiet zones. Transitioning into client and contract management, I spent 22 exciting years handling large, complex IT contracts for outsource organisations before jumping over to Zetta Connect. Here, I dive into the commercial side, thriving on the dynamic diversity and fresh challenges that make each day electrifying and rewarding.

The highlight? I love blending strategic insight with hands-on management, pushing our company towards new ventures and strong partnerships. It’s thrilling to carve out our niche in the competitive marketplace!

If I could switch roles for a day, I’d step back into Matt’s shoes, revisiting my old role to relive the familiar hustle and buzz.

Off duty, I’m either running, walking the dog, or chauffeuring my kids around—life is full, fast, and fun off the clock!

My favourite tech support story involved a client upset over a non-working printer, which, hilariously, turned out to be unplugged! It always reminds me to ask, “What do you mean turn it off and on again, it’s unplugged!”

Emma started her career in finance. However, she quickly realised that she was too chatty for the finance office and moved into client and contract management.

Having spent 22 years working in outsource organisations managing large, complex IT contracts Emma finally moved to Zetta Connect to work with the team on the commercial side of the business.

Like us, Emma passionately believes in putting customer needs first, to deliver an exceptional product on time – and on budget.

As our Programme Director, David leverages his extensive experience in telecoms, where he managed relationships with residential and large business customers. His ambition for tackling larger, more complex projects brought him to Zetta Connect, where he oversees efficient project delivery while prioritising clear communication and stakeholder satisfaction.

If given the chance, I’d step into the shoes of our Marketing Manager for a day —I think I can do a better job!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
When I’m away from the spreadsheets and schedules, my world revolves around family time. Spending time with my family, 2-year-old Ezra and 8-week-old Wyatt!

With a knack for designing, configuring, and commissioning project solutions, I’m all about providing top-notch pre-sales and technical support, and keeping a keen eye on system monitoring.

What do you do (role)?
Network manager / engineer involved in project technical solution design, configuration and commissioning, pre-sales and customer technical support and systems configuration and monitoring.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
Being involved in diverse projects and designing solutions that meet customer needs to a high standard.

If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
I’d love to switch with Robin to gain insight into other project aspects I’m not currently involved in.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy mountain biking, working out, and watching older movies.

David started in telecoms at a traditional ISP, dealing with residential and large business customers. Over the years he developed an ambition to work on larger, more complex projects. Moving to Zetta Connect has allowed him to do just that.

Today he manages the delivery side of the business, ensuring that projects are presented on time and efficiently. Good communication lies at the heart of his approach, together with a commitment to keep both internal and external parties happy at all times.

I’d switch with myself, but 150 years in the future when I’ve learned everything there is to know about this job.

I surf and ski—though not very well! I play rugby quite well, primarily in the second row.
